For years I tried to lose weight the way everyone tells you to. I watched what I ate. I exercised. I kept at it. But no matter how hard I worked, I couldn't do it on my own. Two years ago, I decided to start a GLP-1 medication.
When I started, I went looking for an app to help me through it. I found plenty of trackers. What I couldn't find was one that understood the journey I was on.
The first weeks brought questions no calorie counter could answer:
- Is this nausea normal?
- Why did the constant thoughts about food suddenly go quiet?
- How do I eat enough protein when I'm barely hungry?
- When should I start working out again, and how do I keep my muscle?
Later, the questions changed. What does maintenance look like? What happens if I ever stop? Each stage felt like a different life, and I was learning more and more as I went, mostly on my own.
So I built the app I wished I'd had. Aurum Wellness Journal follows you through every stage of the journey:
- Beginning
- Active loss
- Maintenance
- Life after
It shows you what to expect, helps you learn how to eat and move again, and keeps a private record you can bring to your care team. It's meant to look after the whole person, not just log your numbers.
Most of all, I wanted it to feel supportive. There's no guilt over a missed day, no shame and no before-and-after photos. It's a calm companion for a journey that deserves one, so you don't have to figure it all out alone the way I did.
I'm glad you're here.
